Landlords

Your Help Makes This All Possible

The Union County Housing Authority is always looking to partner with landlords who will help fulfill the UCHA mission of safe, decent, sanitary, affordable housing to income eligible residents.

Interested in Becoming a Partnering Landlord?

People who receive Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, look for their own rental housing in the Private Market that meets the requirements of the program, and use the vouchers they receive to help pay their rent. Basically, the voucher means that they will receive help paying the rent, while they are income eligible. A housing subsidy is paid to the landlord directly by UCHA on behalf of the participating voucher-holder.

Landlords in the program should screen the Housing Choice Voucher participant, just as they would any other prospective tenant. Informational packets and rental unit inspections are available upon request.

If you have a rental property in Union County, please call our office and learn how the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program can benefit you.
